Description:
This ACLS course is for the MD, PA, or NP who has experience with adult cardiac emergencies. Students must be familiar with cardiac rhythm interpretation and pharmacology.
The ACLS course covers:
ACLS algorithms Immediate post-cardiac-arrest care Airway management Rhythm recognition High-quality CPR Resuscitation team dynamics Science overview BLS and ACLS surveys Acute Coronary Syndromes Megacode treatment Identification and initial care of other life-threatening clinical situations (such as stroke).
Students must pass a written exam and skills test in order to qualify for an ACLS Course Completion Card.
